Rainbow Suncatcher

A craft related to the color theme from “Confetti Days” this week.
You will need for each child:

  • 1/2 of a soft, clear, circular plastic lid (such as from a coffee can)
  • Markers
  • Hole puncher
  • String

To begin, cut the plastic lids in half.  Ask the children to draw rainbows or other designs on their lids.  Punch a hole in the top of the lid and tie on a loop of string. Hang this suncatcher on a window—it will light up like stained glass.

Another great way to make a suncatcher is by finding fun things to press between two pieces of clear, self-adhesive wax paper.  You can use paper, ribbons, confetti, or flowers and natural items you find outdoors.
